Step-by-Step Counselling Process

  1. Registration: The first step involves registering online on the official JKBOPEE website. Aspirants need to provide their personal details, NEET UG scores, and other required documents. Make sure all information is accurate, as discrepancies can lead to disqualification.

  2. Document Verification: Once registered, candidates will need to attend document verification sessions. Key documents include:

    • NEET UG 2024 scorecard
    • 10th and 12th mark sheets
    • Domicile certificate of J&K/Ladakh
    • Category certificate (if applicable)
    • Any other relevant documents as per the official notification.
  3. Merit List Publication: After verification, JKBOPEE will release a merit list based on the NEET UG scores. This merit list determines your eligibility and rank for seat allotment.
  4. Choice Filling and Locking: Candidates must then fill in their preferred colleges and courses from the available options. Make sure to carefully select and lock your choices within the stipulated time.
  5. Seat Allotment: Based on your merit rank and preferences, seats will be allotted in the first round of counselling. The results will be published on the official website. If allotted, candidates must download their allotment letter.
  6. Reporting to College: After seat allotment, candidates need to report to the allotted college with the necessary documents to confirm their admission. If a candidate fails to report within the given time, the seat will be forfeited, and the candidate will have to wait for the next round of counselling.

  7. Subsequent Rounds of Counselling: If you do not secure a seat in the first round, don’t worry. JKBOPEE will conduct multiple rounds of counselling depending on the availability of seats. Make sure to participate in these rounds by following the instructions on the official website.

  8. Important Tips for Candidates

    • Stay Updated: Keep a close eye on the official JKBOPEE website for any announcements or changes in the schedule.
    • Document Preparation: Ensure that all required documents are ready and verified well in advance.
    • Careful Choice Filling: Research colleges and courses before filling out your preferences to ensure you make informed decisions.
    • Attend All Rounds: Even if you get a seat in the first round, you can still participate in subsequent rounds if you wish to upgrade your seat.
The instructions relating to filling up of online preferences for allotment of College/Course on merit cum preference basis are available in e-Information Brochure uploaded on website of the Board. The seat matrix shall be uploaded on the website before the commencement of online counseling process.
